    About the position
    The ideal candidate is good at web programming and has knowledge of optimizing the usage of the website.

    This person is a problem solver by nature and will work independently at developing a proper web presence, ensuring proper database maintenance, and digitalizing communications mediums for optimum communication to stakeholders.

    Required Skills and Experience 

    Web Maintenance

    • Regularly checking of Malaysian CARE’s website for issues and mistakes and keeping it updated and relevant to keep the website healthy, encourage continued traffic growth and strengthen Malaysian CARE’s SEO and Google rankings.

    • Ensuring the website is well maintained and attractive to engage with various stakeholders.

    • Ensuring proper back-up of website and safety of the website.

    • Ensuring all e-forms are running properly.


    Web Design

    • Keeping Malaysian CARE’s website up-to-date via designing webpage layouts by constantly updating stories/testimonies, events, etc.

    • Work in partnership with department mates to provide advice on web set up for promotion of Malaysian CARE’s services and opportunities for engagement – volunteering, donating, etc.

    Database Management

    • Maintains and program Malaysian CARE’s database system to ensure it accurately captures data needed and produces accurate reports needed by the team and the organization as a whole.

    • Linking data in the database to e-mailing systems to ensure ease of communicating with stakeholders regularly.

    • Passionate about technology and always looks for ways to propel the organization forward.

    • Able to work independently and on a team.

    • Good organization skills – able to work within timelines and plan work accordingly.

    • Experience in: G Suite, HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, API web integration, User Experience (UX), and User Interface (UI).

    Educational Requirements
    A Bachelor’s Degree in Web Design, Digital Media, Information Technology, Science or Computer Science or Graphic Design.
