    About the position

    We are looking for a creative individual who has a good understanding of the social media space and is interested in design work (graphic, media, photography and videography). This is an exciting role as you will have the opportunity to be on the ground and in the communities to capture amazing stories and package it to keep stakeholders informed, engaged, and energised about the works in Malaysian CARE and transformation in the communities that we serve in. This is an extremely fun role and if you know the latest trends on TikTok and you enjoy making short videos, this would be perfect for you!


    Responsibilities 

    • To begin with, your primary concerns will have to be ideation, content creation, and editing tasks.

    • Capturing and creating content for the right feeds –Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, website, etc. 

    • The development of great bite-sized information via video, photography, and short stories.

    • Work in partnership with staff from other departments to come up with communication material – flyers, short videos, etc. 

    • Work with Heads of Departments to develop an annual strategy to highlight and promote key initiatives as well as maintain all social media channels.

    • A genuine passion for the poor and needy - ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Enthusiastic and positive attitude toward helping others.

    • In line with modern day technology and is passionate about social media.

    • Knows what is relevant to the younger generation. 

    • An eye for design and aesthetics. 

    • Enjoys creative writing and can create compelling content. 

    • Personally motivated to do the best possible job.

    • Good organization skills – able to work within timelines and plan work.

    • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. 

    Educational Requirements
    A Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, Events Management, Marketing or equivalent from any field of study.
