    Required Skills and Experience

    • Understanding issues related to substance abuse, prison, and mental health balanced with practical experience in counseling and knowledge of the community we serve.

    • Community needs assessment, ministry design, and services development process.

    • Readiness for long-term journeying with communities and families in addressing their plight and assisting them towards recovery/reintegration to society with a resilient and sustainable livelihood.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in collaboration with multiple teams across the organization and prison authorities/officials.

    • Well-versed with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • Possess organizational skills including documentation, analysis, and time management (eg. multitasking, deadlines, monitoring)

    • Experience in community work, and prison work is an added advantage.

    • Relational skills – ability to relate to a diverse group of people including staff, management, stakeholders, volunteers, and community.

    • Spiritual maturity - personal walk with God, the reading of His Word and fellowship with His people, the Church.

    Education Requirement

    • [Preferred but not limited to] Bachelor’s degree related to Management, Psychology, and Social Work.

    • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Tamil and Mandarin is an added advantage.
